“And off to bed”: The importance of a good night’s sleep to teenagers

Our latest podcast is now live. In this episode we hear from Dr Faith Orchard, Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Reading. Faith talks about sleep and why it’s important. In particular we look at why teenagers’ sleep patterns are different and what can be done to ensure a good night’s sleep.

If, like me, you have a constant battle with your teens over bed time – and then getting up in the morning – this is a must episode for you. Annoyingly when your adolescent child is telling you that they’re not tired at the time you want them to go to bed, they might have science on their side! Faith also provides some great tips for building a good routine – especially important given the upheaval that the Covid-19 pandemic is causing at the moment.
